“Prompt solutions will be provided to the problems of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB)”, says Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, Mr. K.D. Lal Kantha.

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, Mr. K.D. Lal Kantha, took part in a special observation tour of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) yesterday (19th). The main purpose of the visit was to look into the future management affairs and the problems currently existing in the institution.

The Minister also joined a special discussion with the senior management of the CECB. During this discussion, senior officials took steps to bring several key problems currently existing within the institution to the Minister’s attention. In particular, discussions were held regarding the existing staff vacancies that hinder the daily efficiency of the institution, and the shortage of vehicles required for official duties and field observation work.

Focusing his attention on these issues, Minister K.D. Lal Kantha stated that he would hold further rounds of discussions with the relevant officials and take steps to provide prompt and practical solutions to these problems.

Subsequent to the discussion held with the administration, the Minister also met with all the employees of the institution. On this occasion, employees had the opportunity to directly present the practical problems they face to the Minister and the Minister listened to those issues with great attention.

The Minister further emphasized that the government is committed to building a people-friendly and efficient public service by resolving the problems existing within the public service and that everyone must work together for change in the face of existing challenges.
